When attempting to start the Remote Desktop Gateway service from the Services management console, the service fails to start and displays the following error:
The Remote Desktop Gateway service on Local Computer started and then stopped.
Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
The network adapter configuration has been disabled, reset, or modified, causing theRemote Desktop Gateway server to lose its IP address bindings for the HTTPS and UDP transports.
When this occurs, the IP address selection for one or both transport types is blank, preventing the Remote Desktop Gateway service from starting successfully.
Once the HTTPS and UDP transport bindings have been configured with valid IP addresses or set to All Unassigned, the service should start normally.
Verified on Windows Server 2016.
